The side effects you list sound a lot more mild than most listed effects on most prescription medications. The “experts” mentioned in the article are nothing more than the solicited opinions of those that are part of the faux “war on drugs”. As our CIA (admittedly) exports opium from Afghanistan to support its operations abroad and domestically, the last thing we should be worrying about is banning a substance much safer than alcohol or the “big pharma” drugs they are replacing.

As the owner of a Drug testing facility I can tell you that drug use and abuse knows no economic boundaries. Employers who use pre-employment drug testing or test employees during employment do so as a criterion for employment. To avoid such scrutiny said individuals can opt to NOT work or even apply for employment for said employer. Not so of our social support systems (I know one could argue this point as well). I see several states are considering such legislation. My question is always, where do we draw the line next?

Good one.Kratom is a very popular drug in Malaysia and Indonesia. Long-term use of kratom has been shown to produced anorexia, weight loss, insomnia, skin darkening, dry mouth, frequent urination, and constipation. I really agree with this post.
